Hadrian's Wall Pink Bus
Stagecoach service No. AD122 - now available in pink - photographed at Walltown.
It was smiles all round when the much-loved number AD122 Hadrian's Wall bus reappeared for the 2008 season in its new livery. Except for the driver, who complained that he was "Getting a lot of stick". The colour is, of course, singularly appropriate, and although Hadrian's attachment to his friend Antinous is not well known, Brampton's famous statue of the emperor (known locally as Mrs Hadrian) has served as a popular introduction to his private life for many.
