Windows and Inscriptions, St Mary Magdalene's Church, Gilsland

East Windows

Three-part window, the outer two clear glass diamonds with a vine-leaf design on each pane. The central window is a stained glass image of woman in red and blue holding a lily, the emblem of St Mary Magdalene. Small white space below. At the base: “Sancta Maria”.

West Windows

Two windows:
Left hand: A man in red and green with key and book. At the base: “Sanctus Petrus”.
Right hand: A man in red and purple, with sword and book. At the base: “Sanctus Paulus”. Small white space below each.

South wall of chancel

Two windows:
Left Hand: Christ with a lamb on his shoulders. At the base: “I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD”.
Right Hand: Woman with infant. At the base: “SAINT MARY BV”.
Running across the base of both: “To the dear memory of George Gill Mounsey born 1797 died 1874 this window is dedicated by his daughter Isabella Dorothea Mounsey-Heygate 1914”

Brass plaques, South Wall of Chancel

“In memory of Richard William Rhodes Wright, organist and choirmaster of this church 1894 to 1946”
 
"To the glory of God In memory of George Gill Mounsey, Esq. who built this Church in the year 1854 and partly endowed the Benefice of Gilsland. The Reredos and Panelling were erected by Parishioners 1913"
