Gilsland Bibliography

Extract from A Border Naturalist by Ritson Graham:

p224: "In July, 1965, I found a dead Rat, far removed from any habitation, on the Stelshaw Road. . . . Incidentally, although the day was very warm, a frosty air prevailed during the previous night and again on this night, with a chilly breeze from the north. A large black slug was on the dead rat."
